Et Alia Theater is an emerging theater company based in NYC composed of international womxn who are eager to express their culturally diverse backgrounds and feminist lenses through the performing arts. The group was born from its members’ shared belief in the power of theater to build connections that go beyond nationalities and labels, as well as their ambition to tell the NYC audience stories they have not heard before. Their desire to expand their horizons and engage with the worldwide storytelling scene led them to leave their countries and become global citizens. In Scena! presents – each year – a survey of the best Italian Theater, from Italy, in New York. It features full productions that have already toured in Italy as well as readings of Italian plays in translation, workshops, lectures and exchanges between Italian and International artists. The goal is to promote greater awareness of Italian theater and Italian artists among New York theatergoers, and to build a bridge between the artistic scenes in Italy and New York, so that they may each support and inspire the other.

Kelly Donovan
and Dancers
Kelley Donovan and Dancers, formed in 1997, creates contemporary dance-based performances exploring transformation. The company was cited as one of the Top Ten performances by The New York Times, The Boston Globe & The Boston Phoenix and the Boston Herald and has been called “a distinctive...beautiful mover” by the New Yorker. The company has received funding from The Artist Foundation, The Massachusetts Cultural Council and a Harkness Space Grant. KD&D has been an artist in residence at the Boston Center for the Arts, Roger Williams University, Duo Muliticultural Arts Center and Green St. Studios and The Dance Complex. She has shown work in numerous Boston venues and has been produced by World Music/Crasharts, The Institute of Contemporary Arts, MIT, ArtsFirst, Mobius, Boston Center for the Arts, Harvard University, Choreographers Group, Salem State College and The Federal Reserve Bank and most recently at The Merce Cunningham Studio, Galapogos, Alvin Ailey Studios, Joyce SoHo, Movement Research and the 92nd St. Y in New York City.

WOMEN BETWEEN ARTS
Women Between Arts is New York's currently leading interdisciplinary womxn artists series, created and curated by Luisa Muhr, with its home-base at The New School (Mannes School of Music, Arnhold Hall Glass Box Theater). The series has been developed for professionals who identify as womxn, their groups/ensembles/collaborators (including people of all genders and non-binary people), who work with any combination of music, theater, dance, poetry, performance art, installations, and/or visual arts in an unconventional way. Female Avatars
World of female avatars is a project for expanded understanding of women and their relation to their body. By using the internet as an artistic survey media as many different entries from different cultures as possible will be collected. The public call for female body pictures and text with personal statements about the body is going to be presented at this net art project. The submitted pictures are used for a digital collage to create new bodies - The avatars of female body, which will live in the cyber World of female avatars from now on.
